I am interested in working as a 3D Generalist so I have decided that having just a showreel might not be enough for the positions I am planning to apply for. Also, I wanted to have a portfolio that contains all of my creative work; from my previous experience in Graphic Design through my animation work, art, photography, and any other artistic performances – the best way to do that would be creating a website.

I was debating if I should have multiple pages, each one dedicated to a specific area (animation, design, etc.). However, I decided to create a home page that includes everything in a simplistic way, so that the viewer can easily navigate through all my projects. By clicking on a project again in a very minimalistic way all the visuals and information for that project can be viewed. In addition, the website has a menu, which navigates to either my projects or my “About” page.
For the website I was usingg the platform cargo.site to create it, and I also made a personlised logo and icon to fit my work and style.
For the domain, i used godaddy.com to purchase my own domain. I decided to use my first and last name for it so that when someone searches for me online its’s easy for them to find all of my work. Also, I used .com instead of .co.uk as I would like to work rather internationaly than locally.
Selecting content for the website was a very time-consuming and difficult task. Choosing which project to include and which not to be was not easy. Furthermore, collecting all the visuals and information for each project and displaying it consistently and simply was a very long process. But now that I have the base and the structure it will be much easier to add any new work and to make small updates to the website.
Overall, I am very pleased to see all my work in one place and I feel proud of both of my work and the website I’ve created. I believe that this portfolio will help me land my dream job!
